First day

Haiz...my feeling was YAY we going to the camp...we met in our school at 7.30 and left around 8.45...We were separated into 5 different squads...so me was in squad 4...then half of squad 3, squad 4 and 5 were in the same bus....Linus and Danial didnt took the same bus as me....but lucky there was Hasif la..at least me not tat bored

Going there was quite fun...we were singing through out the whole bus ride...but i was so tired tat i didnt sing tat well....when we reach Mawai ( name came out from the Bigfoot which in malay is call the Mawas)...we had to cross a river to reach to the campsite..THE RIVER HAVE 21 CROCS AND CATFISH ( can grow up to 1 - 1.5m long)...this info was given by them...

As i reach there my feeling definitely drop...UGH..we are sleeping in a place of nature...and we slept on canvas bed..made of wood...then the toilet condition was..UGH...and the utensils for eating is like...reused by dunno how many ppl...they didnt use disposable ones though...BUT THE FOOD THERE IS SUPERB....ESPECIALLY THEIR MUTTON!!!!!!!

So first day we went there...my squad and squad 2 went for a freshwater swampforest walk...led by Uncle Su...he is very experienced and is very friendly..we had to eat leaves as well...i definitely not cut out for eating leaves....he taught us skills of Jungle Survival...We had to cross the mud of height up to our knees...and i got stuck in the mud for around 1 min....lucky i have no leech bites....

First night
We had a singing session with Uncle Leong before going to see fireflies it was a very enjoyable session...the fireflies are so pretty...when u look up into the skies...u can see many and i seriously mean MANY stars....its very pretty....Uncle Su tells us bout the history and tat how the Japanese massacred the British and shows us the bunks...he oso said tat ppl can see the Japanese doing sentry duty at the ghost month....so i was terribly scared...and he said tat he would pay any person 100 ringgit if he would go there and sleep for the night...

So tats it for the night...i couldnt sleep till 3 am..and we had to wake up at 6am the next morning...

Second day
We had our P.T quite early in the morning la....then we had our breakfast...and guess wat, a platform in the camp broke and many of us drop into the water below it...causing some of us to lose their spectacles...but causing a big hole there....after tat was the water obstacles course....ITS VERY FUN...i could stay there the whole day....we had a game of volleyball later...not normal volleyball...but in the mud...tats where i lost one of my shoe...and i had to go barefooted...stepping in the mud...

We had a little challenge later...and we have to cross a bridge called the Orang Asli bridge...we clocked a timing of 15 mins ++ coming in third...after lunch, it was time for a presentation on the swampforest walk and a "HAPPY CHART" of the water obstacles...our group seems to be the oni one which have screwed our presentation and the "HAPPY CHART"...

After tat...we had our tea break and went for our outdoor cooking....we had chicken and we marinated with curry powder and pepper and oyster sauce....but the fire we had to cook on was too big and we had to put the wok on and off the fire...it was very funny...but we still got 3rd for our cooking...

Second night
Nth much happen and i knock out quite fast...oh ya something happen..dunno who go throw a plastic bag in the toilet bowl and clogged it all up and left 2 cups unwashed...in the end we had to do 100 green bottles...

Third day
We did 80 green bottles...but it didnt seem tat tiring...after tat....we had our breakfast..and departed for the mountain climb...GUNUNG ARONG...on the bus trip everyone was tired and we had not much singing....when we reached there...we climb up the mountain...it was very very tiring...some parts of the mountain was quite steep though...when we reach the summit...i was quite disappointed...i tot we could see the view from up there...but instead it was covered by trees....

But then as we finished our lunch and went down hill...there was another part of the mountain where we can see the view....the view of SOUTH CHINA SEA...oh ya and the view was spectacular...especially when we saw in the middle of the sea it was raining...but not around where we were....we climbed all the way down and we saw a small snake on the way...i fell down at the end as the mud was slippery..and cut my hand while holding a leaf...

When we reached the bottom...we saw the sea...we had to walk along the coast of the beach to collect rubbish...it was very fun walking on the beach barefooted...then we saw many starfishes on the beach and we saw one jellyfish being washed up to the shore...

Then we went back to the Mawai camp..

Third night
We had our campfire tat night...we screwed up on our campfire performance too....but the campfire was very fun...we sang songs...and did cheers...we did a VS UNTE which was wonderful.....then we went to the dining area and sang songs with Uncle Leong till 12 midnight...luckily Mr Jonathan Oh was kind to let us stand by bed by 7.15....

Last Day
We had nth in the morning and after breakfast we drew the profile of the mountain we climbed....we anyhow drew...and drew many funny things on the mountain...like a dinosaur fossil...and the Mawas foot print....

Then we went for the Aslis' Animal Trap demo..the animal traps are cruel...but it was fun...then we had to leave the camp...i was happy and sad...but then....we still have to go back to Singapore....so tats how my camp ended...

Back in school i got my long and waited...the JUNIOR LEADER red shirt!!!!

GIVE THREE CHEERS FOR THE LTC CAMP...

May darkness engulf me and never be seen again
